The Ark of the Covenant
“They shall make an ark of acacia wood; two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark by them.

The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it.
-
And you shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.
-
And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.
-
There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you of all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.

And you shall hang the veil from the clasps, and bring the ark of the testimony in thither within the veil; and the veil shall separate for you the holy place from the most holy.

You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
-
And you shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with you.

And you shall anoint with it the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony,

the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereon, and all the furnishings of the tent,

the ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen;

And you shall put the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and set up the screen for the door of the tabernacle.

And he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and put the poles on the ark, and set the mercy seat above on the ark;

and he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
