  9. So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.
  10. And when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
  11. And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of the great men who are on the earth.
  12. So David went up at the word of Gad, which he had spoken in the name of the Lord.
  13. And David said to Solomon: “My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the Lord my God;
  14. Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy articles of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the Lord.”
