  1. So Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him; and Esau said to himself, “The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”
  2. Jacob Is Sent Away

    So Isaac called Jacob and blessed him and commanded him, saying to him, “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.

    Then God appeared to Jacob again when he came from Paddan-aram, and He blessed him.
  10. It came about that from the time he made him overseer in his house and over all that he owned, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house on account of Joseph; so the Lords blessing was upon all that he owned, in the house and in the field.
  11. Then Joseph brought his father Jacob and presented him to Pharaoh; and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
  12. So Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from his presence.

  15. So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will pronounce blessing, saying, ‘May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh!’” And so he put Ephraim before Manasseh.
  16. All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them. He blessed them, every one with the blessing appropriate to him.
