³⁵ By this everyone will know that you are my disciples—if you have love for one another.”

¹¹ Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if not, believe because of the works themselves. ¹² Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in me, the works that I am doing he will do also, and he will do greater works^[a] than these because I am going to the Father.

²⁵ But this happened^[a] so that the word that is written in their law would be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without a reason.’

²⁹ His disciples said, “Behold, now you are speaking plainly^[a] and are telling us^[b] no figurative saying! ³⁰ Now we know that you know everything and do not need for^[c] anyone to ask you questions.^[d] By this we believe that you have come from God.”

Jesus Prays for His Disciples

⁶ “I have revealed your name to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me, and they have kept your word. ⁷ Now they understand that all the things that^[a] you have given me are from you, ⁸ because the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they received them^[b] and know truly that I have come from you, and they have believed that you have sent me.
