¹⁷ The flood continued forty days on the earth, and the waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.^(A)

²¹ And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, domestic animals, wild animals, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all human beings;^(A)

The Flood Subsides

8 But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the domestic animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided;^(A)

³ and the waters gradually receded from the earth. At the end of one hundred fifty days the waters had abated,^(A)

¹⁴ When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, ¹⁵ I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.^(A)
