²¹ Therefore, from the men having accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and went out among us, ²² beginning from the baptism of John until the day that He was taken-up from us— one of these must become a witness of His resurrection with us”.

Matthias Is Chosen

²³ And they put-forward two: Joseph (the one being called Barsabbas, who was called Justus), and Matthias. ²⁴ And having prayed, they said, “You, Lord, heart-knower of all— appoint^[a] the one whom You chose from these two ²⁵ to take the place of this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned-aside to go to his own place”.
