⁶ He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.^(A) Come and see the place where he lay. ⁷ Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.^(B) There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

³⁹ Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see;^(A) a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

²⁷ Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”^(A)

⁴ that he was buried,^(A) that he was raised^(B) on the third day^(C) according to the Scriptures,^(D)

⁶ “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene,^(A) who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

² They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, ³ but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.^{(A) 4} While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning^(B) stood beside them. ⁵ In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? ⁶ He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:^(C)

⁵¹ While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.^(A)

⁹ After he said this, he was taken up^(A) before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

¹⁰ They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white^(B) stood beside them. ¹¹ “Men of Galilee,”^(C) they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back^(D) in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
