Romans 11:7-10
New American Standard Bible
7 What then? What (A)Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but [a]those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were (B)hardened; 8 just as it is written:
“(C)God gave them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes to see not and ears to hear not,
Down to this very day.”
9 And David says,
“(D)May their table become a snare and a trap,
And a stumbling block and a retribution to them.
10 (E)May their eyes be darkened to see not,
And bend their backs continually.”

But The Rest Were Hardened By God
7 Therefore what? This[a] which Israel is seeking-for, it did not obtain. But the chosen[b] obtained it, and the rest were hardened, 8 just as it has been written: “God gave them a spirit of stupor [Isa 29:10], eyes that they may not see and ears that they may not hear, until this very day” [Deut 29:4]. 9 And David says [in Ps 69:22-23], “Let their table become a snare and a trap and a cause-of-falling and a retribution to them. 10 Let their eyes be darkened that they may not see. And bend[c] their back continually”.
