²⁶ May the path of your foot be balanced
    and all your ways be sure.
²⁷ Do not swerve right or left;
    remove your foot from evil.

²⁶ Plans of evil are an abomination of Yahweh,
    but gracious words are pure.

² All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes,
    but Yahweh weighs the spirit.^[a]

⁹ The mind^[a] of a person will plan his ways,
    and Yahweh will direct his steps.

²⁵ There is a way that seems upright to^[a] a man,
    but its end is the way of death.

³³ The lot will be cast into the lap,
    but all of its decisions are from Yahweh.

² Also, a life^[a] without knowledge is not good,
    and he who moves quickly with his feet misses the mark.^[b]

²¹ Many plans are in the heart^[a] of a man,
    but the purpose of Yahweh will be established.

²² Do not say “I will repay evil”;
    wait for Yahweh and he will deliver you.

²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination;
    how much more when he brings it in divisiveness!
