but to those who are humble, he gives favor.

³⁴^[a]Surely he scoffeth at the scoffers;
^[b]But he giveth grace unto the lowly.

¹⁹Better a lowly spirit with the poor
than dividing the spoil with the proud.

¹⁹Better it is to be of a lowly spirit with the ^[a]poor,
Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
