but the one who is devious in his ways despises Him.^(B)

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the Lord,^(A)
but the prayer of the upright is His delight.^(B)

¹⁹ A slacker’s way is like a thorny hedge,
but the path of the upright is a highway.^(A)

²⁹ The Lord is far from the wicked,^(A)
but He hears the prayer of the righteous.^(B)

¹³ Righteous lips are a king’s delight,
and he loves one who speaks honestly.
