¹¹ My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline,
    and don’t be upset when he corrects you.
¹² For the Lord corrects those he loves,
    just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.^[a]

⁴ Love wisdom like a sister;
    make insight a beloved member of your family.

¹⁷ “I love all who love me.
    Those who search will surely find me.

²¹ Those who love me inherit wealth.
    I will fill their treasuries.

⁸ So don’t bother correcting mockers;
    they will only hate you.
But correct the wise,
    and they will love you.
