For the food of your household,
And the nourishment of your maidservants.

²⁷and thou shalt have goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food for thy household, and for the maintenance of thy maidens.

¹²If a ruler pays attention to lies,
All his servants become wicked.

¹²If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants will be wicked.

¹⁹A servant will not be corrected by mere words;
For though he understands, he will not respond.

¹⁹A servant will not be corrected by words; for though he understand, he will not give heed.

¹⁰Do not malign a servant to his master,
Lest he curse you, and you be found guilty.

¹⁰Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee and thou be found guilty.
