⁴ The reward of humility is the fear of Yahweh—
    wealth and honor and life.

¹⁷ May your heart^[a] not envy the sinners,
    but live in fear of Yahweh all day.^[b]
18 Surely^[c] there is a future,
    and your hope will not be cut off.
¹⁹ You, my child, hear and be wise,
    and direct your heart^[d] on the road.

²¹ Fear Yahweh, my son, and the king;
    with those who change, do not associate.

⁵ Men of evil do not understand justice,
    but seekers of Yahweh understand completely.^[a]

¹⁴ Happy is the person who fears continuously,
    but he who is stubborn of heart,^[a] will fall into calamity.
