Proverbs 2:16-22

New American Standard Bible

¹⁶ To ^(A)rescue you from the strange woman,
From the ^(B)foreign woman who flatters with her words,
¹⁷ Who leaves the ^(C)companion of her youth
And forgets the ^(D)covenant of her God;
¹⁸ For ^(E)her house sinks down to death,
And her tracks lead to the ^[a]dead;
¹⁹ None ^(F)who go to her return,
Nor do they reach the ^(G)paths of life.
²⁰ So you will ^(H)walk in the way of good people
And keep to the ^(I)paths of the righteous.
²¹ For ^(J)the upright will live in the land,
And ^(K)the blameless will remain in it;
²² But ^(L)the wicked will be eliminated from the land,
And ^(M)the treacherous will be ^(N)torn away from it.
