¹⁰ My son, if sinners ^(A)entice you,
^(B)Do not consent.

⁹ One ^(A)who walks in integrity walks securely,
But ^(B)one who perverts his ways will be found out.

⁵ The ^(A)righteousness of the blameless will smooth his way,
But ^(B)the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
⁶ The righteousness of the upright will rescue them,
But the treacherous will ^(C)be caught by their own greed.

¹² There ^(A)is a way which seems right to a person,
But its ^(B)end is the way of death.

¹⁶ A wise person ^[a]is cautious and ^(A)turns away from evil,
But a fool is arrogant and careless.

²² Will they who ^(A)devise evil not go astray?
But kindness and truth will be to those who devise good.

³ The ^(A)eyes of the Lord are in every place,
Watching the evil and the good.

⁶ By ^(A)mercy and truth atonement is made for wrongdoing,
And by ^[a]the ^(B)fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.
