²⁴ Wisdom is before him that hath understanding, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.

¹⁵ The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.

⁸ He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul; he that keepeth understanding shall find good.

⁵ Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.

¹² The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.
