but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

⁵The righteousness of the innocent makes their path straight,
but the wicked fall in their wickedness.

²⁰Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to Yahweh,
but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.

²⁰The Lord detests a crooked heart,
but he favors those whose path is innocent.

¹⁰Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way,
he will fall into his own trap;
but the blameless will inherit good.

¹⁰Whoever misleads those who do right onto an evil path
will fall into their own pit,
but the blameless will inherit good things.
