³The integrity of the upright shall guide them,
but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

³Integrity guides the virtuous,
but dishonesty ruins the treacherous.

⁶The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them,
but the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.

⁶Those who do right are saved by their righteousness,
but the untrustworthy are caught by their own desires.

¹⁸The wicked is a ransom for the righteous,
the treacherous for the upright.

¹⁸The wicked are a ransom for the righteous;

¹²Yahweh’s eyes watch over knowledge;
but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.
