“For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denari, and the money given to the poor.” And they murmured against her.

But Jesus said, “Let her alone. Why do you trouble yourselves with her? She has done a good work for Me.

“For you have the poor with you always. And when you will you may do them good. But Me you shall not have always.

“She has done what she could. She came beforehand to anoint My body for the burying.

“Truly I say to you, wherever this Gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she has done, shall be spoken of in remembrance of her.”
