Keep Asking And You Will Receive

And He said to them, “Which of you will have a friend, and will go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves-of-bread, because my friend came to me from a journey and I do not have what I will set-before him’; and that one, having responded from inside says ‘Do not be causing me troubles. The door has already been locked, and my children are with me in bed. I am not able, having arisen, to give it to you’? I say to you: even though he will not, having arisen, give to him because of being his friend, yet because of his shamelessness[a] he will, having been raised[b], give to him as much as he needs. And I say to you: be asking, and it will be given to you. Be seeking, and you will find. Be knocking, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone asking receives. And the one seeking finds. And to the one knocking, it will be opened.
