22 Then[a] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to the Israelites,[b] saying, ‘You[c] must not eat any fat of ox, or[d] sheep, or[e] goat; 24 and a dead body’s fat or[f] mangled carcass’s fat may be used for any purpose,[g] but[h] you[i] certainly must not eat it. 25 When anyone eats fat from the domestic animal from which he presented an offering made by fire for Yahweh, then[j] that person[k] who ate shall be cut off from his people. 26 And in any of your[l] dwellings, you must not eat any blood belonging to[m] birds[n] or[o] domestic animals.[p] 27 Any person[q] who eats any blood, that person[r] shall be cut off from his people.’”

22 The Lord spoke to Moses: 23 “Tell the Israelites: You are not to eat any fat(A) of an ox, a sheep, or a goat. 24 The fat of an animal that dies naturally or is mauled by wild beasts[a](B) may be used for any purpose, but you must not eat it.(C) 25 If anyone eats animal fat from a fire offering presented to the Lord, the person who eats it must be cut off from his people. 26 Wherever you live, you must not eat the blood(D) of any bird or animal. 27 Whoever eats any blood, that person must be cut off from his people.”
