Instructions for the People
22 Then[a] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to the Israelites,[b] saying, ‘You[c] must not eat any fat of ox, or[d] sheep, or[e] goat; 24 and a dead body’s fat or[f] mangled carcass’s fat may be used for any purpose,[g] but[h] you[i] certainly must not eat it. 25 When anyone eats fat from the domestic animal from which he presented an offering made by fire for Yahweh, then[j] that person[k] who ate shall be cut off from his people. 26 And in any of your[l] dwellings, you must not eat any blood belonging to[m] birds[n] or[o] domestic animals.[p] 27 Any person[q] who eats any blood, that person[r] shall be cut off from his people.’”
