22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell the ·people [L sons; children] of Israel: ‘You must not eat any of the fat from cattle, sheep, or goats [3:17]. 24 If an animal is found dead or torn by wild animals, you may use its fat for other things, but you must not eat it. 25 If someone eats fat from an animal offering made by fire to the Lord, he must be cut off from his people. 26 No matter where you live, you must not eat blood from any bird or animal. 27 Anyone who eats blood must be cut off from his people [3:17].’”

22 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You shall not eat (A)any fat from an ox, a sheep, or a goat. 24 Also the fat of an animal which dies and the fat of an animal (B)torn by animals may be put to any other use, but you certainly are not to eat it. 25 For whoever eats the fat of the animal from which [a]an offering by fire is offered to the Lord, the person who eats it shall also be cut off from his people. 26 And (C)you are not to eat any blood, either of bird or animal, in any of your dwellings. 27 Any person who eats any blood, that person shall also be cut off from his people.’”
