Lamentations 1:10-11
English Standard Version
10 The enemy has stretched out his hands
over all her (A)precious things;
for she has seen (B)the nations
enter her sanctuary,
those whom you (C)forbade
to enter your congregation.
11 All her people (D)groan
as (E)they search for bread;
they trade their (F)treasures for (G)food
to revive their strength.
“Look, O Lord, and see,
for I am despised.”
Lamentations 1:10-11
International Standard Version
10 The adversary seized in his hands
everything she valued.
She watched the nations[a]
enter her sanctuary;
those you forbade to enter
your place of meeting.
11 All her people groaned
as they searched for food.
They traded their valuables in order to eat,
to keep themselves alive.[b]
Look, Lord, and see
how I have become dishonored.
