After him arose Jair the Gileadite, who judged Israel twenty-two years. And he had thirty sons who (A)rode on thirty donkeys, and they had thirty cities, called Havvoth-jair to this day, (B)which are in the land of Gilead. And Jair died and was buried in Kamon.

After him came Jair the Gileadite,(A) who judged Israel 22 years. He had 30 sons who rode on 30 donkeys. They had 30 towns[a] in Gilead, which are called Jair’s Villages[b] to this day. When Jair died, he was buried in Kamon.
