And then[a] after Yahweh spoke these words to Job, Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath has been kindled[b] against you[c] and against the two of your friends, for you[d] have not spoken to me what is right as my servant Job has. So then,[e] take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job will pray for you,[f] for I will certainly accept his prayer,[g] so that it will not be done with you[h] according to your folly, for you[i] have not spoken to me what is right as my servant Job has.”

So[j] Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did just as Yahweh had told them, and Yahweh accepted Job’s prayer.[k]

It came about after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is trustworthy, (A)as My servant Job has. Now therefore, take for yourselves (B)seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and offer up a (C)burnt offering for yourselves, and My servant Job will (D)pray for you. (E)For I will [a]accept him so as not to do with you as your foolishness deserves, because you have not spoken of Me what is trustworthy, as My servant Job has.” So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the Lord told them; and the Lord [b]accepted Job.
