Job 37:19-24
New International Version
19 “Tell us what we should say to him;(A)
we cannot draw up our case(B) because of our darkness.(C)
20 Should he be told that I want to speak?
Would anyone ask to be swallowed up?
21 Now no one can look at the sun,(D)
bright as it is in the skies
after the wind has swept them clean.
22 Out of the north he comes in golden splendor;(E)
God comes in awesome majesty.(F)
23 The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;(G)
in his justice(H) and great righteousness, he does not oppress.(I)
24 Therefore, people revere him,(J)
for does he not have regard for all the wise(K) in heart?[a]”

Job 37:19-24
New Living Translation
19 “So teach the rest of us what to say to God.
We are too ignorant to make our own arguments.
20 Should God be notified that I want to speak?
Can people even speak when they are confused?[a]
21 We cannot look at the sun,
for it shines brightly in the sky
when the wind clears away the clouds.
22 So also, golden splendor comes from the mountain of God.[b]
He is clothed in dazzling splendor.
23 We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty;
but even though he is just and righteous,
he does not destroy us.
24 No wonder people everywhere fear him.
All who are wise show him reverence.[c]”
