Job 21:19-21
Expanded Bible
19 It is said [C defenders of the idea that the wicked suffer for their sins], ‘God ·saves [stores] up a person’s ·punishment [guilt] for his children.’
But God should ·punish [pay back] the wicked themselves so they will know it.
20 Their eyes should see their own destruction,
and they should ·suffer [L drink from the] the anger of ·the Almighty [Shaddai].
21 They do not care about the families they leave behind
when their lives have come to an end.

New American Standard Bible
19 You say, ‘(A)God saves up [a]a person’s [b]wrongdoing for his sons.’
Let [c]God repay him so that he may know it.
20 Let his (B)own eyes see his destruction,
And let him (C)drink of the wrath of [d]the Almighty.
21 For what does he care about his household [e]after him,
When the number of his months is at an end?
