Job 1:4-5

4 His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and (A)consecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and (B)offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my children have sinned, and (C)cursed[a] God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.

4 His sons used to travel to each other’s houses in turn on a regular schedule and hold festivals, inviting their three sisters to celebrate[a] with them.
5 When their time of feasting had concluded, Job would rise early in the morning to send for them[b] and consecrate them to God.[c] He would offer a burnt offering for each one,[d] because Job thought, “Perhaps my children sinned by cursing God in their hearts.” Job did this time and again.[e]
