Job 14:13-17
New International Version
13 “If only you would hide me in the grave(A)
and conceal me till your anger has passed!(B)
If only you would set me a time
and then remember(C) me!(D)

All the days of my hard service(E)
I will wait for my renewal[a](F) to come.
15 You will call and I will answer you;(G)
you will long for the creature your hands have made.(H)
16 Surely then you will count my steps(I)
but not keep track of my sin.(J)
17 My offenses will be sealed(K) up in a bag;(L)
you will cover over my sin.(M)

Job 14:13-17
International Standard Version
There is Life after Death
13 “Won’t you keep me safe in the afterlife?[a]
Conceal me until your anger subsides.
Set an appointment for me,
then remember me.
14 If a human being[b] dies, will he live again?
I will endure the entire time of my assigned service,
until I am changed.[c]
15 You’ll call and I’ll answer you;
you’ll long for your creatures that your hands have made.[d]
16 Then you’ll certainly count every step I took,
but you won’t keep an inventory of my sin.
17 My transgressions would be sealed up in a bag;
you would cover over my sins.
