Job 13:28-14:6

²⁸ Man^[a] wastes away like ^(A)a rotten thing,
    like a garment that is ^(B)moth-eaten.

14 “Man who is ^(C)born of a woman
    is ^(D)few of days and ^(E)full of trouble.
² He comes out like ^(F)a flower and ^(G)withers;
    he flees like ^(H)a shadow and continues not.
³ And do you ^(I)open your eyes on such a one
    and ^(J)bring me into judgment with you?
⁴ Who can bring ^(K)a clean thing out of an unclean?
    There is not one.
⁵ Since his ^(L)days are determined,
    and ^(M)the number of his months is with you,
    and you have appointed his limits that he cannot pass,
^6 (N)look away from him and leave him alone,^[b]
    that he may enjoy, like ^(O)a hired hand, his day.
