Jeremiah 6:27-30

27 “I have made you an assayer among my people, a fortification,
so that you may know and put to the test their ways.[a]
28 All of them are stubborn rebels,
going about talking slander.
They are bronze and iron,
they are all behaving corruptly.
29 The bellows[b] are burned up,
lead is consumed by fire.
In vain[c] he keeps on refining,[d]
but the wicked are not torn apart.
30 They are called[e] rejected silver,
For Yahweh has rejected them.”

All of them deal corruptly. 29 The bellows blow fiercely. The lead is consumed in the fire. In vain they go on refining, for the wicked are not plucked away. 30 Men will call them rejected silver, because Yahweh has rejected them.”
