Jeremiah 51:17-19
Christian Standard Bible
17 Everyone is stupid and ignorant.
Every goldsmith is put to shame by his carved image,(A)
for his cast images are a lie;(B)
there is no breath in them.(C)
18 They are worthless,(D) a work to be mocked.
At the time of their punishment they will be destroyed.(E)
19 Jacob’s Portion[a] is not like these
because he is the one who formed all things.(F)
Israel is the tribe of his inheritance;(G)
the Lord of Armies is his name.(H)
