Jeremiah 22:10-12
New American Standard Bible
10 (A)Do not weep for the dead or mourn for him,
But weep deeply for the one who goes away;
For (B)he will never return
Or see his native land.
11 For this is what the Lord says regarding [a](C)Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who became king in the place of his father Josiah, who went out from this place: “He will never return there; 12 but in the place where they took him into exile, there he will (D)die and he will not see this land again.

New Living Translation
A Message about Jehoahaz
10 Do not weep for the dead king or mourn his loss.
Instead, weep for the captive king being led away!
For he will never return to see his native land again.
11 For this is what the Lord says about Jehoahaz,[a] who succeeded his father, King Josiah, and was taken away as a captive: “He will never return. 12 He will die in a distant land and will never again see his own country.”
