14 But as for you, Jeremiah,[a] do not pray for these people. Do not raise a cry of prayer for them.[b] For I will not listen to them when they call out to me for help when disaster strikes them.”[c]

W. L. Holladay (Jeremiah [Hermeneia], 1:347) is probably right in assuming that the MT has been influenced by “for them” (בַעֲדָם, vaʿadam) earlier in the verse.

14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me because of their [a]trouble.
