No foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord
should say,
“The Lord will exclude me from his people,”(A)
and the eunuch should not say,
“Look, I am a dried-up tree.”(B)
For the Lord says this:
“For the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths,
and choose what pleases me,
and hold firmly to my covenant,
I will give them, in my house and within my walls,
a memorial and a name
better than sons and daughters.
I will give each of them an everlasting name
that will never be cut off.(C)

“Let[a] no foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say:
‘The Lord will surely exclude me from his people.’
Furthermore, let no eunuch say,
    ‘Look![b] I am just a dry tree.’”
For this is what the Lord says:

“To the eunuchs who observe my Sabbaths,
who choose the things that please me,
and who hold fast my covenant—
to them I will give in my house[c] and within my walls
    a monument and a name
        better than sons and daughters.
I will give them[d] an everlasting name
that will not be cut off.[e]
