24 Can the prey be taken from the mighty,
    or the captives of a tyrant[a] be rescued?
25 For thus says the Lord:
(A)“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken,
    and the prey of the tyrant be rescued,
for I will contend with those who contend with you,
    and I will save your children.
26 (B)I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh,
    and they shall be drunk (C)with their own blood as with wine.
Then all flesh shall know
    that (D)I am the Lord your Savior,
    and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

24 (A)Can the prey be taken from a mighty man,
Or the captives of [a]a tyrant be rescued?”

25 Indeed, this is what the Lord says:

“Even the (B)captives of the mighty man will be taken away,
And the prey of a tyrant will be rescued;
For I will contend with the one who contends with you,
And I will (C)save your sons.
26 I will feed your (D)oppressors with their (E)own flesh,
And they will become drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine;
And [b](F)humanity will know that I, the Lord, am your (G)Savior
And your (H)Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
