Isaiah 31:8-9
New American Standard Bible
8 And the (A)Assyrian will fall by a sword not wielded by a man,
And a (B)sword not of man will devour him.
So he will [a](C)not escape the sword,
And his young men will become (D)forced laborers.
9 “His (E)rock will pass away because of panic,
And his officers will be terrified by the (F)flag,”
Declares the Lord, whose (G)fire is in Zion and whose furnace is in Jerusalem.

8 Then Assyria will fall,
but not by human sword;
a sword will devour him,
but not one made by man.(A)
He will flee from the sword;
his young men will be put to forced labor.(B)

and his officers will be afraid because of the signal flag.(D)
This is the Lord’s declaration—whose fire is in Zion and whose furnace is in Jerusalem.(E)
