19 People will flee to caves(C) in the rocks
    and to holes in the ground(D)
from the fearful presence(E) of the Lord
    and the splendor of his majesty,(F)
    when he rises to shake the earth.(G)
20 In that day(H) people will throw away
    to the moles and bats(I)
their idols of silver and idols of gold,(J)
    which they made to worship.(K)
21 They will flee to caverns in the rocks(L)
    and to the overhanging crags
from the fearful presence of the Lord
    and the splendor of his majesty,(M)
    when he rises(N) to shake the earth.(O)

19 “They will enter caverns in the rocks
    and holes in the ground
to escape[c] the presence of the terror of the Lord,
    to escape[d] the splendor of his majesty
        when he arises to terrify the earth.
20 At that time,[e] mankind will throw
    their silver and gold idols[f]
that their fingers have made[g] as objects of worship
    to the moles and to the bats.
21 They will enter caverns in the rocks
    and clefts in the cliffs,
to escape[h] the terror of the Lord
    and to escape[i] the splendor of his majesty,
        when he arises to terrorize the earth.
