Hosea 8:11-14
New King James Version
11 “Because Ephraim has made many altars for sin,
They have become for him altars for sinning.
12 I have written for him (A)the great things of My law,
But they were considered a strange thing.
13 For the sacrifices of My offerings (B)they sacrifice flesh and eat it,
(C)But the Lord does not accept them.
(D)Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.
They shall return to Egypt.
14 “For(E) Israel has forgotten (F)his Maker,
And has built [a]temples;
Judah also has multiplied (G)fortified cities;
But (H)I will send fire upon his cities,
And it shall devour his [b]palaces.”

11 Because Ephraim hath multiplied altars for sinning, altars have been unto him for sinning. 12 I wrote for him the ten thousand things of my law; but they are counted as a strange thing. 13 As for the sacrifices of mine offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; but Jehovah accepteth them not: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins; they shall return to Egypt. 14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and builded [a]palaces; and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the [b]castles thereof.
