8 Blow the ram’s horn in Gibeah,(A)
the trumpet in Ramah;(B)
raise the war cry in Beth-aven:(C)
Look behind you,[a] Benjamin!(D)
9 Ephraim will become a desolation(E)
on the day of punishment;(F)
I announce what is certain
among the tribes of Israel.(G)

9 One thing is certain, Israel[b]:
    On your day of punishment,
    you will become a heap of rubble.
