6 They go with their flocks and herds
to seek the Lord(A)
but do not find Him;(B)
He has withdrawn from them.(C)
7 They betrayed the Lord;(D)
indeed, they gave birth to illegitimate children.(E)
Now the New Moon(F) will devour them
along with their fields.(G)

    to offer sacrifices to the Lord,
they will not find him,
    because he has withdrawn from them.
7 They have betrayed the honor of the Lord,
    bearing children that are not his.
Now their false religion will devour them
    along with their wealth.[a]
