Hosea 13:4-8
English Standard Version
4 But (A)I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt;
(B)you know no God but me,
and (C)besides me there is no savior.
5 (D)It was I who knew you in the wilderness,
in the land of drought;
6 (E)but when they had grazed,[a] they became full,
(F)they were filled, and their heart was lifted up;
(G)therefore they forgot me.
7 So (H)I am to them like a lion;
(I)like a leopard I will lurk beside the way.
8 I will fall upon them (J)like a bear robbed of her cubs;
I will tear open their breast,
and there I will devour them like a lion,
(K)as a wild beast would rip them open.

Hosea 13:4-8
International Standard Version
The Lord is Israel’s God
4 “I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt,
and you have known no god except for me,
because except for me there is no savior.
5 I took care of[a] you in the wilderness,
in a waterless land.
6 As their pastures flourished,
all their desires were met.[b]
As they were satiated,
they became arrogant
and therefore ignored me.
7 “So I will be like a lion to them.
Like a leopard I will stalk them along the road.
8 I will confront them like a bear deprived of her cubs;[c]
I will tear open their ribs.
I will devour them like a lion—
the wild beasts will rip them apart.
