Hosea 12:3-6
New King James Version
3 He took his brother (A)by the heel in the womb,
And in his strength he (B)struggled with God.
4 Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed;
He wept, and sought favor from Him.
He found Him in (C)Bethel,
And there He spoke to us—
5 That is, the Lord God of hosts.
The Lord is His (D)memorable name.
6 (E)So you, by the help of your God, return;
Observe mercy and justice,
And wait on your God continually.
Hosea 12:3-6
American Standard Version
3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his [a]manhood he [b]had power with God: 4 yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him at Beth-el, and there he spake with us, 5 [c]even Jehovah, the God of hosts; Jehovah is his memorial name. 6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep kindness and justice, and wait for thy God continually.
