A Father’s Discipline

(A)You have not yet resisted [a](B)to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,

(C)My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
Nor (D)faint when you are punished by Him;
(E)For (F)whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
And He punishes every son whom He accepts.”

For the one whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He whips[f] every son whom He accepts” [Prov 3:11-12].
