2 (A)The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, (B)Tarshish, (C)Kittim, and Dodanim. 5 From these (D)the coastland peoples spread in their lands, each with his own language, by their clans, in their nations.

2 Japheth’s sons:(A) Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3 Gomer’s sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 And Javan’s sons: Elishah, Tarshish,(B) Kittim, and Dodanim.[a] 5 The coastland peoples spread out into their lands. These are Japheth’s sons by their clans, in their nations. Each group had its own language.
