Galatians 1:11-23

¹¹ Now let it be known, brothers, that the Gospel which was preached by me, is not according to man.

¹² Neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹³ For you have heard of my former way of life in the Jewish religion; how I persecuted the Church of God extremely, and destroyed it,

¹⁴ And advanced in the Jewish religion above many of my countrymen and was much more devoted to the traditions of my fathers.

¹⁵ But when it pleased God (who had set me apart from my mother’s womb, and called me by His grace)

¹⁶ To reveal his Son in me; that I should preach Him among the Gentiles immediately. I did not communicate with flesh and blood.

¹⁷ Nor did I return to Jerusalem, to those who were Apostles before me. But I went into Arabia and returned again to Damascus.

¹⁸ Then, after three years, I came again to Jerusalem, to visit Peter; and stayed with him fifteen days.

¹⁹ And I saw no other Apostle except James, the Lord’s brother.

²⁰ Now the things which I write to you, behold, I testify before God, that I do not lie.

²¹ After that, I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. For I was unknown by face to the Churches of Judea which are in Christ,

²² Who had only heard some say, “He who formerly persecuted us, now preaches the faith which before he destroyed.”

²³ And they glorified God in me.
