15 And he measured the length of the building facing the courtyard[a] at the rear[b] and its galleries, a hundred cubits[c] on each side,[d] and also the temple, the court, and the porticos of the courtyard, 16 the thresholds and the framed windows and the galleries around the three of them. Before the threshold was a covering of wood all around,[e] and from the ground up to the windows, and all around the windows, they were covered. 17 Above[f] the doorway and up to the inner temple[g] and on the outside, and on all of the wall all the way around[h] in the inner and in the outer areas were patterns,[i] 18 and it was made of cherubim and palm tree images; a palm tree image between cherub and cherub, and the cherub had two faces.[j] 19 And the face of a human was toward[k] the palm tree image on the one side,[l] and the face of a fierce strong lion faced[m] the palm tree image on the other side;[n] this work was executed[o] for the entire temple all the way around.[p] 20 From the ground up to above[q] the doorway,[r] the cherubim and the palm tree images were made,[s] and also the outer wall of the temple.

21 As far as the temple is concerned its doorframe was squared, and before[t] the sanctuary was the appearance as it were the appearance of 22 a wooden altar[u] that was three cubits[v] high, and its length was two cubits,[w] and its corners[x] for it and its length and its walls were of wood. And he spoke to me, “This is the table that is before[y] Yahweh.” 23 And the two doors were for the temple and for the sanctuary. 24 And two leaves[z] of a door were for each of the doors, two hinged leaves of a door: two were for the first door, and two leaves of a door were for the other door. 25 And cherubim were made[aa] on them, that is, on the doors of the temple and palm tree images like the ones prepared for the walls;[ab] and an overhang of wood was on the surface of the porticos on the outside. 26 And narrow windows and palm tree images were on either side,[ac] and on the side walls of the portico, and the side rooms of the temple and their[ad] overhang.

15 He measured the length of the building behind it, facing the separating courtyard, with its (A)galleries on the one side and on the other side, one hundred cubits, as well as the inner [a]temple and the porches of the court, 16 their doorposts and (B)the beveled window frames. And the galleries all around their three stories opposite the threshold were paneled with (C)wood from the ground to the windows—the windows were covered— 17 from the space above the door, even to the inner [b]room, as well as outside, and on every wall all around, inside and outside, by measure.

18 And it was made (D)with cherubim and (E)palm trees, a palm tree between cherub and cherub. Each cherub had two faces, 19 (F)so that the face of a man was toward a palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion toward a palm tree on the other side; thus it was made throughout the temple all around. 20 From the floor to the space above the door, and on the wall of the sanctuary, cherubim and palm trees were carved.

21 The (G)doorposts of the temple were square, as was the front of the sanctuary; their appearance was similar. 22 (H)The altar was of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits. Its corners, its length, and its sides were of wood; and he said to me, “This is (I)the table that is (J)before the Lord.”

23 (K)The temple and the sanctuary had two doors. 24 The doors had two (L)panels apiece, two folding panels: two panels for one door and two panels for the other door. 25 Cherubim and palm trees were carved on the doors of the temple just as they were carved on the walls. A wooden canopy was on the front of the vestibule outside. 26 There were (M)beveled window frames and palm trees on one side and on the other, on the sides of the vestibule—also on the side chambers of the temple and on the canopies.
