25 Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob, and I will have compassion on all of the house of Israel, and I will be jealous[a] for my holy name.[b] 26 And they will forget their disgrace and all of their infidelity that they displayed against me when they dwelt on their soil in safety[c] with nobody making them afraid.[d] 27 When I restore them from the nations and I gather them from the countries of their enemies, then I will show myself holy through them before the eyes of many nations. 28 And they will know that I am Yahweh their God, because of when I deported them into the nations, and I reassembled them to their soil, and I will not let any of them remain there any longer.[e] 29 And I will not hide my face again from them when I pour out my Spirit over[f] the house of Israel,” declares[g] the Lord Yahweh.

Restoration for God’s People

25 “So now, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will end the captivity of my people[a]; I will have mercy on all Israel, for I jealously guard my holy reputation! 26 They will accept responsibility for[b] their past shame and unfaithfulness after they come home to live in peace in their own land, with no one to bother them. 27 When I bring them home from the lands of their enemies, I will display my holiness among them for all the nations to see. 28 Then my people will know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them away to exile and brought them home again. I will leave none of my people behind. 29 And I will never again turn my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit upon the people of Israel. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”
